I got some range time in today.
I think I was close to getting the rollover wristlock right once, but I can't claim more than that. This is a crucial element for aimed fire and I haven't gotten it, yet.

In reading the FAQ on the Fist Fire site, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Thats as close to a compliment as I can get without doing more research so don't take it as a knock. He's an arrogant bastard but nothing wrong with that if you walk the walk. Some people ARE natural shooters, some do take to one form of training over another (duh), and the single biggest caveat is why he remains so relatively obscure. More to think about.
I've been on his site and also posting some of my observations on trying to teach myself. He's been supportive of the attempt while cautioning that he can't do an adequate job of teaching over the Internet.
I tend to respect a man who follows the advice of Dirty Harry and knows his limitations.
As limited as I am with only a square range at a gun club to practice in I've tried to learn as much as I can from multiple sources. This year I will apply for my CCW before it becomes even tougher to get in my state. I will continue to take lessons from multiple sources.
Some of those sources are friends. Some are more a business relationship. If things work out I'll even travel within my state to get training from Middlebrooks.
I'm recalling what you'd said earlier about sticking to one gun. Hopefully you don't subscribe to the theory that one should only have one teacher. Somehow that doesn't sound like it would be your style.
Hell no. Bill Jordan is dead.
Yes, as is Col. Cooper.
I don't think either of them would put up with a student who thought these men were the alpha and omega.
